SCRIPT-COMS™ — INEVITABLE
This is my version of a teaser.
This is the first part of my INEVITABLE fan fiction series.
I’m giving myself two months to finish the pilot, and honestly, I’m a little scared by how easily it’s coming together.
Being dyslexic gives me a unique way of seeing stories, and I’m going to weaponize it.
I’m tired of waiting for permission. I asked for help, and nobody offered to help me.
So… BAM. The sequel.
SCRIPT-COMS™ — INEVITABLE
Two Years Later
After Picard and before Starfleet Academy & Discovery.
INEVITABLE
Fan fiction brought to you by a dyslexic mind.
A Star Trek theme begins to play.
The song is composed mostly of clacking and tinging sounds, reminiscent of steampunk. The metallic sounds instantly make your mind think of a blacksmith.
The camera zooms out from what looks like a sheet of metal, composed of multiple interconnected layers.
As the camera pulls back…
Words start to come into view.
Lights appear, and letters start to form words.
Then you see the hull of a ship.
The USS Enterprise-G
(NCC-1701-G)
In all its glory.
The scene jumps to the opening of Season One: Interlude.
Space. Black.
Then you hear the sounds that haunt you and make your mind light up.
Mechanical Borg tubules fly through the air like falling stars in every direction.
The scene ends with a Borg tubule shooting toward you.
The word INEVITABLE starts forming out of Borg nanoprobes. Each letter is formed in pure perfection.
In the background, hand drawings start to form.
A spaceworthy storage facility fades into view, then vanishes.
You appear to be inside the storage facility.
The interior is humble, but huge.
Strange alien ships, one after another, cover the floor.
Scientific projects are somehow both littered about and immaculately placed throughout the facility.
The nanoprobes that formed INEVITABLE begin breaking down and melting into a puddle.
Then, like 3D printing from the bottom up, the first item forms—a cup.
Then the shape changes into a skateboard.
A weapon.
Then it melts again, forming a control console.
The final transformation is a very unique warp core.
The music starts to fade.
The camera begins to zoom. It finds the Enterprise-G, then starts looking for a way inside.
The camera shoots through a window, then down the bulkhead. Finally, it finds Seven walking down the corridor.
Efficient, goal-oriented, and looking at her watch.
A young ensign surprises her, almost as if jumping out from behind a Jeffries tube.
Before Seven can say a single word…
The young ensign says,
“Eight hours, two minutes… I’m guessing thirty seconds. Are you excited about your vacation?
Everybody’s talking. Word is you’re going camping again.
I’ve never been camping. Well… maybe I have?
Does sleeping under your bed count?
I’m gonna say it does, because I love experiences.”
This entire interaction makes Seven respond like she’s giving instructions.
Seven:
Yes.
Unlikely.
State designation.
Sabrina:
Naomi Wildman is my mom.
Samantha Wildman is my grandmother.
Seven:
I’m aware of how DNA works.
Let me rephrase my question.
Shouldn’t you be somewhere?
To be continued.
I love being a dyslexic, voice-driven storyteller.
